About ALCHM
YOUR DIGITAL PROOF OF BECOMING.
ALCHM isn’t another app—it’s a rebellion against every system that told you to shrink yourself.
Built by Zadie Walker—a cycle-breaker turned founder—ALCHM was created for the kids who were labeled “too sensitive,” for the students who got behavior charts instead of reflection tools, for anyone who’s outgrown survival mode and is ready to build an identity on their terms.
Founder’s Statement:
“I spent twenty years in rooms where people tell each other things they don't say anywhere else.
That's what hospitality actually is, underneath the work, a particular kind of presence for people when the performance has worn thin and something truer comes through.
I also worked in youth spaces. This includes kids who have been labeled as unmotivated, difficult, and unreachable. They weren't any of those things. They were unsupported. And the systems around them had no interest in making that distinction.
In both places and my life, I saw that people had real things to say.
And nobody remembered them back.
The journaling apps I tried felt like talking into a void. You'd write something true, close the app, and never see it again. Months later you'd write the same thing. The same relief. The same disappearance.
I started asking a different question.
Not ‘how do we make this easier?’ but ‘why does everything disappear?’
ALCHM is the answer I built.
You write something. You leave. A few days later, it returns, not as a reminder, not as a prompt, just a quiet return to something you left here.
No streaks. No tracking. No version of yourself needs to improve.
Just a place that holds what you wrote and gives it back when you're ready.
I built this because I believe most people don't need to be fixed. They need to be witnessed.
That's what this app is for.”
