ALCHM is designed as a private journaling and reflection space. This policy explains what information we collect, how it is used, and how it is controlled.

We collect only the information necessary to operate the app:

  • Email address (for account creation and authentication)

b. User Content

  • Journal entries

  • Reflections generated within the app

  • Any content you choose to include in exports

c. Technical Identifiers

  • Anonymous identifiers required for authentication and basic app functionality

We do not collect location data, contacts, or browsing history.

2. How Your Information Is Used

Your information is used only to:

  • Provide journaling and reflection functionality

  • Store and retrieve your entries securely

  • Generate reflections based on your writing (within the app experience)

  • Allow you to create optional reflection exports

We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or behavioral targeting.

3. Reflection System (Khepera)

ALCHM includes a reflection system that responds to user writing.

  • It does not provide advice, diagnosis, or treatment

  • It does not act as a therapist or coach

  • It generates reflections only within the context of your writing

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell or share your personal data.

Your data is only shared in the following limited cases:

  • With service providers strictly necessary to operate the app (e.g., secure hosting, authentication)

  • When you explicitly choose to export or share content

5. Reflection Export

The export feature is fully user-controlled:

  • Only content you explicitly select is included

  • No additional data, hidden analysis, or unselected entries are included

  • Exports are generated locally or on demand and are not shared automatically

6. Data Ownership and Control

Your writing belongs to you.

  • You can access your data at any time within the app

  • You can delete your account and associated data from within the app

7. AI and Data Usage

  • Your journal entries are not used to train AI models

  • Your data is not used to improve external machine learning systems

  • Reflections are generated only for your use within the app

8. Data Retention

Your data is retained only as long as your account is active.

When you delete your account, your data is permanently deleted within a reasonable timeframe.

9. Security

We use industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including encrypted data transmission and secure storage.

10. Children’s Privacy

ALCHM is not intended for children under 13.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as the app evolves. Updates will be posted within the app or on our website.
